Chelsea Player Ratings: Willian, Fabregas Impress As Blues Win 13 In A Row 1

Chelsea have won an exciting contest against Stoke City as they eventually prevailed 4-2 to make it 13 wins in a row in the Premier League. The Blues have managed to get the lead early on with a header by Cahill but the visitors have managed to level twice to keep the score at 2-2 with 30 minutes left in the game.

However, Chelsea have upped the anti in the final minutes as a second goal from Willian and another cool finish by Diego Costa saw the home team win comfortably 4-2 at the end. Here we look at the player ratings of Chelsea as Blues look to make history in the new year.

Courtois- 6

Was caught little off guard with Crouch’s goal but look decent in the game overall despite letting in two goals.

Cahill- 6

Scored the opener for the Blues but could have been much better in the defense as he failed to contain Diouf and Crouch.

Luiz- 7

Was impressive in the build up play going forward. The Brazilian has also looked solid in the defense.

Azpilicueta- 7

The Spaniard continued his impressive performance in the defense. He made two vital interceptions to nullify the attacking threat from Stoke attackers.

Alonso- 6

Looked impressive going forward in the attack as he has linked up well with Hazard to create a number of chances in the final third.

Moses- 6

The right back has looked decent despite a bad day as he has put in a hard shift on the right wing. However he was highly inconsistent in his passes into the box.

Fabregas- 8

The veteran midfielder has turned things around quite well as he has put his best performance this season. He assisted the opener as well as the winning goal by Willian in the second half.

Kante- 7

Kept his usual composure as his seamless passing between defense and attack has kept the Blues attack ticking in the opposition box.

Hazard- 6

Not his day as the Belgian has looked way below his level against Stoke despite his incredible outing against Bournemouth on the boxing day.

Costa- 7

Has looked below par for most of the day but found himself on the score sheet in the final moments of the match.

Willian- 9

The Brazilian has been in extraordinary form as he linked with other players well in the attack. He has also ensured that his two goals are vital as Chelsea were taken to lead on both occasions. MOTM performance by far by the exciting winger.
