Shocking Update: Former Manchester United Star Is On His Way Back To Old Trafford 1

Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand’s latest Instagram post regarding his ex-teammate Patrice Evra is bound to excite the Old Trafford faithful.

The France international is linked with a move to his former club and Ferdinand’s post is a big indication that the rumours are not baseless. The duo spent a highly successful career at Old Trafford before Evra left for Juventus in 2014 while Ferdinand plied his trade for QPR.

Evra has enjoyed a successful spell with the Italian giants too. He has won two league titles and also reached the 2015 Champions League final where his team was beaten by Barcelona. The full-back, who has made 79 appearances for the Serie A champions so far, played a vital role for the team in the last two seasons but has fallen down the pecking order this term.

The 35-year old has made only 5 appearances in Serie A this season and has reportedly grown frustrated due to the lack of first team action. A week ago, his agent Federico Pastorello had admitted his client is looking to get more playing time.

He had said:“I have to admit that, like all footballers, he would like to be playing more often.

“I’ve been receiving a lot of calls, and I don’t know where the rumours are coming from, but Patrice is not at all unhappy at Juventus. I can only say that there is nothing definite right now about him leaving,” he added.

And although Pastorello did not talk a lot about a potential transfer in January, Evra has been linked with a sensational move to his former club.

Ferdinand’s latest post is only going to add fire to the rumours. The former England international wrote:“Throwing it out there…Patrice Evra I’m hearing thru social media u coming home bro?!? Talk to me!”

Jose Mourinho’s men are performing really well in recent months and have won their last six games in the Premier League. The team is looking well-settled but the left-back has been a big concern for them. Luke Shaw has struggled to break into the playing eleven while Daley Blind’s performance against Middlesbrough is a clear indication that United need a new player to fill that position and Evra has the credentials to do fulfil their expectations.
