India fast-bowler Mohammed Shami’s father is recovering well after suffering a heart attack last week.
The Bengal pacer, who is currently undergoing a rehab in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru to recover from an injury, had earlier informed that he had to leave the Garden City for Delhi to be with his father, who was admitted to hospital on Thursday (January 5).

A day later, the 26-year-old again tweeted about his father’s health, saying that Shami senior was still in ICU.

But fortunately, Shami’s father is now on his way to recovery. The fast-bowler again took to Twitter to give an update on his father’s health.

The news will a much-needed morale booster for the Indian star and his family. Earlier, the fast bowler was severely criticised by some religious fanatics after he posted a picture with his wife in a sleeveless dress on Facebook.
Meanwhile, the pacer has not been included in the Indian squad for the upcoming limited-overs series against England as he has still not recovered from injury.
