Till the last over of the game, M.S. Dhoni seemed to be a silent force who was just doing a match practice as he was struggling to get away with the bowling of England but the moment the game reached the last over, Dhoni got his Midas touch back as he smacked 23 runs in the final over of the first innings, to give a brilliant end to India A innings.

He started the over with a six followed by two consecutive fours. A quick pace running between the wickets saw Dhoni running for two on the fourth delivery of the game and a six on the fifth delivery just saw India getting par the score of 300.

However, Woakes avoided further stick as he bowled a perfect yorker on the final delivery not allowing Dhoni to go after him and Dhoni had to be satisfied with a single on the last delivery of the game.

Indian A scored 304 runs on the board, giving England an uphill task to chase such a huge total in the second innings.
