The Former England skipper Michael Vaughan, who is known to speak his mind, took a dig at the Australian team ahead of their tour to India. He launched a sarcastic attack on spin weakness of Australian batsmen as he wrote –

The last time Australia toured India in 2013, batsmen danced to the tunes of the spinners and lost the series by a margin of 4-0. Similar can be the case here next month as well as on their tour to Sri Lanka just six months back, Australian team were white-washed by a margin of 0-3 with their trouble against spin being exposed by Sri Lankan bowlers. Sri Lankan players were able to rewrite history as till then, Sri Lanka had won just one Test against Australia but three back to back losses came as a big surprise for the Kangaroos.

Not to say that sub-continent pitches are same in every country, so again, Australian batsmen will be under scanner, with the main focus on their ability to face the spin.

However, as per Michael Vaughan, they are already struggling against spin in Melbourne in ODIs against part-time spinners, so we can conclude that Australia will struggle on their tour to India next month.

To take a note, Michael Vaughan was the one who predicted a whitewash for England in India. And the result was quite close to it as England lost the Test series by 0-4. Similar could be the case with Australia if they do not sort out their spin issues.
