Manchester United’s long-term target Antoine Griezmann is on his way to Old Trafford as the striker has verbally agreed to his shirt number and weekly wage with the Red Devils, according to reports.

The Atletico Madrid star has been linked with the English giants for quite some time now and if reports are to be believed then he is likely to complete a world-record transfer to United in the summer.

English news outlet The Independent has reported that Griezmann’s representatives and United officials are in talks over a sensational deal for several months and the Red Devils are confident of securing the signing of their prime target. The report also added that the France international is keen to move to Old Trafford to play alongside his compatriot Paul Pogba. With the talks going extremely well, the outlet claimed that the former Real Sociedad striker has agreed his weekly salary and the jersey number he will like to wear.

Meanwhile, United will have to break the bank to sign the Frenchman as they will have to match his buy-out clause, that is set at a whopping €100m. However, whether the deal would be possible in the summer is still not clear as the Spanish giants are currently serving a transfer ban and are waiting on the Court of Arbitration for Sport to decide on whether they will be able to do transfer business this summer.
