After a 256-run stand between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh in the second ODI against England at Cuttack, Yograj Singh, father of Yuvraj Singh, has forgiven India’s most decorated skipper, for what he thinks (that Dhoni had evil thoughts for Yuvraj Singh when he was the captain of the Indian cricket team) as he said:

“God bless Dhoni. I wanted him to score a hundred.

“Yes, I have forgiven Dhoni. God will take care of his doings. I pray to God to forgive him for his evil against my son Yuvi.

“He (Dhoni) wasted 3 years of Yuvi”s cricket career. It was uncalled for. He should realise this and apologise to God almighty. I have always forgiven people who have done bad to me and my kids. God is great.”

Yograj Singh, from past few years, has been quashing Mahendra Singh Dhoni for overlooking Yuvraj Singh from the Indian team. The southpaw was dropped from the ODI squad in the 2013 but played in the 2014 and 2016 World T20s.

Yograj has been launching derogatory statements on Dhoni from the past two years but interestingly, after the Cuttack game, Yograj showered praise on Dhoni after the partnership between his son and Dhoni.

Yuvraj Singh played an immaculate innings of 150. During the course, he got past his previous highest score of 139 as well. It was due to the partnership between the two experienced members of the Indian team that the hosts put up a humongous total of 381 on the board, winning the game in the end by a margin of 15 runs.
