Transfer Update: Long-Term Arsenal Target Confirms He Is Ready To Move 1

Ruling out Bayern Munich as a potential destination in the future, Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has suggested that he could leave the German outfit this summer.

The former AC Milan striker has become one of the hottest properties after his impressive displays for Dortmund. Consequently, the Gabon international has been linked with several top clubs like Arsenal and Real Madrid. And his latest statement for the clubs as they would be escalating their efforts to sign one of the best strikers in Europe.

Currently plying his trade for his national team in the Africa Cup of Nations, the 27-year told German news outlet Fussball Bild that his future at Dortmund is far from sorted.

Aubemeyang, who has scored 16 goals in 15 Bundesliga games this season, further said: “I want to be honest. When you are ambitious and also want to see something else … it’s difficult to talk about. Some players have ambitions, and therefore they leave and want to experience something new, you know.”

He has expressed his love for Real Madrid several times publicly and when it was asked whether he was an eyeing a move to the Spanish capital, he said: “Yes, yes. That’s true but, you know, there is not only Real Madrid in this world.”

Recent reports have suggested that Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane is looking for a player with a different style of play in order to have more options upfront.
Speaking on that, he said:“I don’t know if that’s true but, also, I am not interested in it. If Real want me, they will call me one day and, if not, no problem. I live my life and am optimistic about the future.”

He also ruled out a move to Borussia Dortmund’s arch rivals Bayern Munich. Mario Gotze, Robert Lewandowski and Mats Hummels have moved to the Allianz Arena in recent years but the Gabon star, it seems, does not want to hurt the sentiments of Dortmund fans.

“I would never join Bayern,” he said. “That’s for sure. That would be too hard on the Dortmund fans. Whatever they’d offer me, I’d say no.”

Meanwhile, Aubameyang statement can be a huge boost for the Gunners to make a move in the summer. The North London outfit is struggling to tie down Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez and a player with the ability of Aubameyang can surely fill the gap left by Ozil or Sanchez.
