India’s performance was comprehensive in the three match ODI series, as Virat Kohli’s tenure as the full-time skipper got off to a dream start. In a series full of run glutton, it was the hosts who ended up bossing England, thanks to an optimum cocktail of youth and experience. In the due course of the three games played over a week’s span, India discovered a gem in Kedar Jadhav, for whom finishing the innings with a flurry seems a perfect task.
For the T20I’s though, India cannot afford to get complacent by any means. On 26th January, as Virat Kohli will step out for the toss, he will be India’s fifth captain in this particular format and will be up against a side that ended up as runners-up in the previous World T20.
With ace spinners R. Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja rested, it will be interesting to see India’s outlook.
Thereby, we guess a predicted XI for the first T20I at Kanpur.
