India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and his wife met with a tragic road accident last night in Jamnagar. The accident happened when the Indian star along with his better half, Riva Solanki, were travelling in their car and a girl riding on her moped was hit by the back side of the four-wheeler.
But fortunately, no one was seriously injured apart from the moped rider who received minor injuries. The cricketer then took the girl to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old is currently spending some time off from cricket as he has been rested from the ongoing three-match T20 internationals against England. With India all set to play a four-match series against Australia next month, the team is keen to have one of their most important players fit and fresh. The left-arm spinner had claimed 26 wickets against England including a 7-wicket haul in the final Test at Chennai and will be keen to replicate the same performance against the team from Down Under.
