Wenger has already realised the threat from potential clubs and has been looking to tie him to a new contract but he has not been able to get the 28-year old to pen a deal.
And it is now understood that Atletico Madrid are confident of luring him to the Calderon at the end of the season.
Manchester United are reportedly using Paul Pogba to win goodwill off Griezmann and to lure him to the Old Trafford and Atletico Madrid are already readying themselves for a bid of around £86m early in the summer.
And the Spanish outfit are now ready to let him go and are hoping to cash in on the Frenchman and spend a part of it on the Chilean.
Atleti are planning to make a £35m bid for the Arsenal man in the summer and are hoping to lure him to the club with a wage package of £220,000-a-week, which is a vast improvement on his current contract.
Sanchez has already entered the final 18 months of his contract and if Wenger is unable to sign him for the long term, he may well end up losing him come to the end of the season.
