In his second outing as the T20I captain, Virat Kohli lost the toss again, and was asked to bat on a dusty track by Eoin Morgan. India, after starting well, lost three wickets until 11th over. Opener KL Rahul smoked few lusty blows to bring up his second fifty in T20Is.

Among the five bowlers used, it was Ben Stokes and Tymal Mills who could stop the flow of runs. Asking Manish Pandey to bat above Mahendra Singh Dhoni did add to England’s cause of resisting the run-rate and after Rahul’s dismissal on 71, the visitors made their way back into the match.

England bowlers did a great in the death overs, which saw India losing five wickets and finishing their first innings total at 144/8. However, fans on the social media shared their disappointment but few appreciated England’s death bowling too.
