The England International had a decent game and made wonderful saves in the first half. James though lost his concentration in the last minutes of the game and was beaten by Rafique at the near post.

Dey was pulled out of the game due to injury, but was a threat to the opposition and made some good runs and crosses.

Falvey was on the top of his game today but also gave away some unwanted fouls. The centre back missed the through ball by Sahni to Arnal whose shot was stopped by James.

Jhingan played well in the back and was a threat to Rafi and Arnal as well. The centre back was concentrate today as the team was on attack and made the back much vulnerable.
5 N. Chettri 2/5
Chettri was at fault today as he missed his marker Rafique who scored the winning goal for Kolkata. Apart from that He had a decent game on the flank.

Pulga didn’t played as expected from his previous performances but made some sublime passed to Hume and Chopra. And was substituted by Penn Orji late in the game.

Pearson made some good runs in forward but was unable to convert those chances. The Scot didn’t play up to his abilities and his performance today was satisfactory.

Hume kept going despite looking injured. His influence over the game kept waning away as the second half wore on. The Canadian was unlucky not to have scored in the first half as his free-kick was saved superbly by Edel in the Kolkata goal. Was Kerala’s best player throughout the tournament.

Hossain played well in the game but looked exhausted as the game progressed. The holding midfielder’s main task was to keep a track on Kolkata’s attack. And did well in doing so but wasn’t effective as in the previous fixtures.

Ahmed played almost in all the areas of pitch today but wasn’t effective as he was in earlier games. The number 11 was also at fault alongside Chhetri for letting Rafique see score in the last seconds of the game.
8 M. Chopra 1/5 (Worst player)
Chopra missed the best opportunity to score for Kerala in the 80th minute and was a flop of the match for James side. His free kick was also saved by Edel wonderfully. Chopra who was Blasters best performer in the season didn’t lived up to the expectations today.

The Nigerian came on with over ten minutes to go but couldn’t influence the game much.Orji came in the 80th minute of the game and couldnt make much influence in the match.
Atletico De Kolkata

Edel was undoubtedly the best player for Atletico today and with his superb reflex made a wonderful save from Chopara’s point blank effort. Despite of a groin injury the goalkeeper didn’t made any wrong mistake, and was good in handling and overall performance.
5 Arnab Mandal 3.5/5
Arnab maintained good composure today in spite of so much pressure from Blaster’s attack. The Indian defender was caught off guard but regained control over the situation.

Josemi again showed a wonderful performance today and was a rock at back; the former Liverpool player has played every minute of the Indian Super League. Chopra did slipped past him but wasn’t able to get past Edel.

Podany played at left back position, which is not his regular position and turned out to be the assist hero for Atletico De Kolkata. As it was his pass which went to Rafique and won the corner for Kolkata in the last seconds of the game. The defender took the resulting corner kick which turned to be the winning assist of the game.

Nato played alongside Borja and showed some good skills today. He made some good tackles against Kerala side and also did pretty good to stop the Blasters attack in the beginning of the second half.

Pradhan showed good quality in the midfield and showed a impressive performance today. The 21 year old did well in the absence of Garcia but wasn’t able to fill the void completely.

Borja was caught off guard today in a few occasions but the Spaniard didn’t lose control. He was instrumental in breaking the play against the likes of Ishfaq and Hume.

Debnath played up to the expectations by his performance today but was again vulnerable on the back against the likes of Ahmend, Saumik and Pearson. Teammates Nato and Sahni helped him out all the time though.

Sahni showed a very impressive performance today and was moving up and back in the midfield constantly. Though he made some good runs forward but his final pass was lacking.
24 Arnal Libert 3/5
Libert made aware of his performance by showing some energetic runs and almost scored in the first half. The Spaniard ran back to help the team often as Blasters kept advancing forward.

Rafi tried to create chances will all the runs he made into space but wasn’t much effective in doing so. Found beating the pair of Jhingan and Falvey difficult and made way crucially for Rafique who eventually scored the winner.

Rafique turned out to be the unlikely hero for Kolkata scoring the winning goal in the 95th minute after coming in as substitute. The Indian striker had only played 5 minutes of ISL before this game and scored a brilliant goal from the corner making his team win the inaugural season of ISL.
