Considered as one of the most exciting attackers in Italy, the 22-year old has been a main stay for Sassuolo since his teenage days and is one of the most prolific goal scorers in Italy at the moment.

He has 40 goals in 96 league games in Italy and is one of the hottest prospects in Europe and Antonio Conte has now asked the Chelsea hierarchy to get him to the Bridge at the end of the season.

Belgian Diego Costa has been superb this season there have been rumors linking him with an exit and with Michy Batshuayi the only other player in this position in the league, Conte is looking to add some mettle to his attack in the summer and wants Berardi in his squad.

It is understood that the attacker turned down a chance to join Italian giants Juventus a couple of years ago in search of regular football but he is yet again linked with a move to some of the best clubs in the country.

AC Milan, Inter Milan and AS Roma are all scouting for him and Conte wants his club to snap him up as soon as the season comes to an end.

Berardi is a decent option for Chelsea but he cannot be the replacement for Diego Costa at the club if the Spaniard decides to make a move in the summer.
