'Forget And Move On'; Jasprit Bumrah To England Over Wrong Decision Saga 1
Jasprit Bumrah has said England should forget and move on from the wrong umpiring decision saga from the second game.

India’s hero in the Sunday’s match against England, Jasprit Bumrah has advised the visitors to forget and move on from the wrong umpiring decision. During the second T20I in Nagpur, umpire Shamsuddin controversially adjudged Joe Root LBW, which saw England failing to achieve the target despite having wickets in hand.

Bumrah in the Nagpur game defended eight runs off the last six deliveries by picking up two wickets and conceding just one run, which helped India clinch a close encounter and level the series one all.

Speaking to the media ahead of the match, he said umpiring decisions are not in anyone hands and it (wrong decisions) happens in cricket, so England should rather move on and concentrate on preparing for the final match, which takes place on Wednesday.

“We don’t really focus much on the decisions given on the field by the umpires. Sometimes, it (the decision) goes in our (India) favour and sometimes it goes in their (England) favour. That happens in cricket. So you got to move on and forget about these things.”

After the Sunday’s encounter, Morgan was left frustrated and said the management would complain about it to the match referee, which they eventually did. Going by his words, Root’s LBW in the last over shifted the momentum in India’s favour, and that was a huge blow to the side’s morale as well. He added the call proved costly for the visitors.

“(It’s) very frustrating. It absolutely shifted the momentum in the 20th over. Losing a batsman (Root) off the first ball, who has faced 40 balls on a wicket that’s not easy to time the ball on, is quite a bit of a hammer blow. It proved very costly all things considered a couple of decisions did not go our way. We still should have won the game.”

For his majestic spell, he was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.
