Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has taken another dig at his Liverpool and Arsenal counterparts Jurgen Klopp and Arsene Wenger respectively after his team was held to a frustrating goalless stalemate by Hull City on Wednesday.
With his team finding it tough to break the deadlock despite dominating the possession, Mourinho looked very animated on the touchlines which forced the fourth official to order him to sit down.
And the Portuguese tactician expressed his frustration after his team lost further ground on the top four race.
Speaking after the match, he said: “The rules for me are different. I am different in everything, I watch my team play in a hotel, I was forbidden to go to the stadium.
“My assistant had a six-match stadium ban and he didn’t touch anyone,” he added.
The comment was clearly directed at Arsene Wenger who escaped a stadium ban despite pushing a fourth official during his team’s 2-1 win over Burnley last month.
Afterwards, the former Chelsea manager took a subtle dig at Klopp who had screamed at fourth official Neil Swarbrick during his side’s 1-1 stalemate against Chelsea on Tuesday.
Mourinho said: “On Tuesday, one fourth official told to a manager, ‘I enjoy very much your passion, so do what you want to do’.“Today I was told ‘sit down or I have to send you to the stands.’ So everything is different for me, so don’t ask me questions that put me in a difficult situation.”

Meanwhile, the defeat has left United 4 points shy of fourth and fifth-placed Liverpool and Manchester City respectively. All the top four teams had dropped points on Tuesday and United had a good chance to close the gap. However, Jose Mourinho’s men failed to find a way past an inspired Eldin Jakupovoc as they dropped points for the second game in a row.
