ICC T20 Rankings: Virat Kohli Retains Top Spot, India Move To 2nd Place 1
Virat Kohli retains his top spot in the latest ICC T20 Rankings for batsmen.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has retained his top spot in the latest ICC Rankings for the T20 batsmen’s with 799 points. India, on the other hand, has moved up to one place to second position in team rankings by the virtue of their 2-1 series win over England in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Even after being poor with the bat in T20Is, India’s poster boy continues to rule the batting list. Virat Kohli, however, is the second best batsman in the Test rankings and sits third in ODIs.

In T20s, Australia stand-in skipper Aaron Finch is second while fellow batsman Glenn Maxwell is third in the list.

India’s second highest wicket-taker in the T20I series Jasprit Bumrah slipped one place to number two spot with 764 points. South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir is first with four points ahead of Bumrah.

Claimed to be England’s most technically sound batsman, Joe Root finished with 126 runs in the three T20Is, which helped him gain two places up to fifth position with 743 points. Among the next Indian batsman, opener KL Rahul gained 15 places to sit at the 15th spot, after scoring a century in the Nagpur match.

Yuzvendra Chahal, who rocked the English batting line-up with a magnificent six-fer on Wednesday, is at 86th position in the rankings, his best so far in T20Is.
