Indian vice-captain Virat Kohli on December 23rd overtook legend Sachin Tendulkar to become the most followed Indian sportsperson on Twitter. Tendulkar, until this, held the numero uno spot on this social networking website.
Kohli leads the list with 4,870,190 fans, quite higher than Tendulkar’s 4,869,849 fans. Tendulkar is followed by Indian cricket team’s skipper MS Dhoni, who has 3,327,033 fans.
In the list of top 10 Indian sportspersons followed the most on Twitter, total of 9 cricketers feature in it with Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh at 4th and 5th position respectively. Tennis ace Sania Mirza is the sole non-cricketer who features in this list. She is at 7th position with 2,209,855 fans.
