Aakash Chopra & S Sreesanth Involved In Another Twitter Exchange 1

Few days after cricketer-turned commentator Aakash Chopra had said ‘No’ while replying to a fan’s question who had asked the former India opener whether discarded bowler S Sreesanth could make a comeback, the two have been involved in another exchange of tweets.

Back then, Sresaanth had expressed his surprise over Akash Chopra’s remark. And the Kerela cricketer has now accused Chopra of being two-faced after the former Delhi batsman, in reply to a fan’s question, said that any cricketer who is involved in match-fixing should not be allowed to play again.

A shocked Sreesanth, who is desperately trying to return to action, tweeted:” @cricketaakash how can u be so 2 faced?? Bro?? Ashamed to even call u that ..really sad to know (what have u replied?? Really..I will play”

To which Chopra replied:“Not two-faced. That’s my opinion and I stand by it. Never told anyone anything else. I would have the same opinion for my own brother.”

A fan was quick to point out that Chopra had praised tainted Pakistani bowler Mohammad Amir for making a comeback to international cricket after serving a five-year ban.

In his defense, Chopra said:“Incorrect. Criticised his comeback. Appreciated his bowling. Two different things….”

Meanwhile, Sreesanth once again got involved in the conversation and tweeted:“@cricketaakash I hope ur comments about desh drohi…..etc,also includes the other 13 people who was charged Nd the unopened envelope..”

Trying to clarify his stand, Chopra further tweeted:“I didn’t use the word ‘desh drohi’ but yes, my opinion on this issue isn’t subjective. One rule for everyone.”

Sreesanth once again reiterated his desire of making a comeback to the game.

With the conversation getting longer, Chopra put an end to it by wishing the discarded bowler well.
