Antonio Conte’s Chelsea will be relatively pleased with the point they took from Anfield earlier this week and will hope to put in a better performance playing at home against Arsenal this weekend.
The manager was one of the busiest in the January transfer window as he was desperate to add a couple of players to his squad. The wing-back positions need to be strengthened but one position that Conte is looking everywhere to improve is the striker’s spot.
Diego Costa, the first choice striker for Chelsea this season, has been in sublime form in front of goal and is currently the highest goal scorer in the league. Michy Batshuayi remains his only backup and Conte is determined to add a player to help them in the future.
This, along with reports suggesting that Costa, could quit the club at the end of the season, Conte is paranoid and wants to get signings done quickly.
And a report from The Telegraph now claims that Conte is close to landing Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata at the end of the season.

The Spanish striker had a productive stint in Italy with Juventus and rose into the spotlight as one of the best in his position. His performances in Italy saw Zinedine Zidane spend on him to get him back to the Bernabeu at the start of the current season.
However, Morata has not been able to cement a place in the starting XI in Spain and is looking for an exit and Chelsea, along with the likes of Arsenal and Juventus are interested in his signature.
According to reports, Chelsea are ready to allow Thibaut Courtois join Real Madrid as a part of a swap deal for the striker and it is now understood that Morata has made up his mind over a move to the Stamford Bridge.
The report from the Telegraph suggests that Morata is a big fan of Antonio Conte and is desperate to work for him next season.

He has now told his friends and acquaintances that he will be playing in the English capital next season.
The 24-year old is expected to cost around the £50m mark but with Chelsea ready to offload Diego Costa for a handsome sum, they should not have a problem meeting his valuation
And the recent bust up with the coach at Real Madrid only makes Morata a bigger target in the summer and Chelsea will now have to move quickly to get a deal done.
Do you think Chelsea can get Morata this summer?
