This record is something that the Indian team would never like to be a part of. India has played 13 Boxing Day Test matches so far and the result so far is disheartening.
Before we talk anything more about the record, you must first take a look at this stat:

Stat updated till 24 December, 2014
As you must have already seen, not once has India managed to get those 3 magical words “WIN” on Boxing Day Test matches so far. India has played 6 Boxing Day Test match so far against Australia and have faced 5 defeats however the first match ended up to be an draw.
Against South Africa, India has played 5 test matches on 26 December and the Indians haven’t been able to register a single win in any of those.
Overall India has been a part of 13 Boxing Day Test matches and has lost 11 and 2 have yielded no result.
With India being 2 down already in the series, another loss at the moment can’t be afforded and India will have to give their brains a lot of work before facing Australia. By beating Australia, India would not only comeback in the series but also register their first win in a Boxing Day Test Match. Can India do that?
