Special innings of 81 from Shreeevats Goswami off just 53 balls helped Bengal defeat Jharkhand by a big margin of five wickets, with five balls to spare chasing the target of 178 runs. Bowling first, Bengal bowlers conceded 177 runs in 20 overs as Ashok Dinda shone with the ball as he bowled four overs in which he scalped two wickets, giving away 28 runs. He scalped Pratyush Singh and Sumit Kumar, who were looking good for a big score.
