Mohit Ahlawat Called For Trials By Delhi Daredevils 1

Mohit Ahlawat, who drew the limelight yesterday by hitting 300 runs in a local game in Delhi has been called by Delhi Daredevils for the trials by the IPL franchise. Mohit was called by Sunil Walson to attend the trials for the upcoming IPL edition, “Mohit got a call from Walson and was asked to go for the trial. I am keeping my fingers crossed. If he keeps calm, he can definitely impress them. Even though he might come across as an attacker from his latest record, he has a sound technique. On top of that, he is also a wicket-keeper.

“Yes, Mohit has been called for trials. We keep tapping young talent and scouting future stars. Walson will be there to keep an eye on the whole process,” Sanjay Bhardwaj, coach of Mohit Ahlawat told CricketNext.

Ahlawat, who has played three first-class games till now has been one of the promising players in Delhi circles but failed miserably in the three game he has played as he could just score five runs in those matches. He was later dropped from the squad making way for another wicket-keeper.

Ahlwat was not the part of the Delhi squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as Unmukt Chand and Arjun Gupta were selected in the squad for wicket-keeping duties.

Surely, with his great innings, Ahlawat’s life has taken a great turn and if he is able to impress Delhi Daredevils coaches, then he might a future player to look out for.
