Liverpool Fans Angry Over Adam Lallana's New Hefty Wage 1

Adam Lallana’s hefty wage in his new five-year deal has not gone down too well with the Liverpool fans.

The England international is reportedly all set to pen down a new five-year deal that will see him earn a whopping £150,000-a-week. The new deal will keep the 28-year old at Anfield 2021, by which time he will be 33 having spent the peak of his career with the Reds.

However, the Anfield faithful are not happy to see one of the most impressive performers of the season earning such a long-term contract.

Lallana, who had enjoyed a lukewarm season under former boss Brendan Rodgers after arriving at Anfield Southampton in 2014 for £25 million, started this season in a brilliant manner under Jurgen Klopp. He has become one of the finest players in the Premier League after scoring seven goals and registering as many assists. He had performed in a similar fashion for England too that saw him bagging the England’s Player of the Year Award this year.

However, the former Saints star’s form has dropped in the last one month or so. His poor form has coincided with that of Liverpool. The playmaker is yet to score or make an assist this year while the Reds are yet to register a win in the Premier League in 2017.
