Sharjeel Khan Is Innocent, He Hasn't Done Anything Wrong: Father 1
Sohail Khan, father of Sharjeel Khan said his son his innocent and has nothing to do with match-fixing.

On the second day of Pakistan Super League (PSL), reports emerged that few of their internationals are involved in match-fixing, which includes the name of attacking opener Sharjeel Khan. The left-handed batsman was probed by the Anti-Corruption Code of the PCB and was thus provisionally suspended.

His father, Sohail Khan has backed his son saying he had a talk with him earlier and Sharjeel denied any involvement in such incident. He also claimed his son is innocent and stays away from such misleading activities.

‘I have spoken to Sharjeel, he has not done anything wrong.’

Speaking to the media, Sohail said the action taken against him is on the basis of suspicion. He further added on the account of his fame, he often meets a lot of people.

“The hotel in which Sharjeel was staying has 1,500 rooms. It could have been possible he met with someone in the lobby.”

As the board held an investigation into Sharjeel’s matter, his father said he doesn’t possess a bad character and will walk out clean after the matter ends.

“I have taught Sharjeel cricket with my own two hands. People love to watch him play cricket.”

However, Sharjeel’s team-mate from Islamabad United Khalid Latif has also been suspended from participating in ongoing season of PSL due to the same reason. Their replacements have not been announced yet.
