India vs Bangladesh 2017, One-Off Test, Day 3: Twitter Reacts As Visitors Finish Day On Strong Note 1
Indian players celebrate after picking up a wicket against Bangladesh on day 3 of one-off Test in Hyderabad.

An unbeaten partnership of 87 runs for the 7th wicket between Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehedi Hasan has kept Bangladesh’s hopes of saving the Test alive as they finished the third day on 322/6, still 365 runs behind India’s first innings total.

Resuming the day at 41/1, Bangladesh suffered a major setback early on when Tamim Iqbal returned to the pavilion even without opening his account. Mominul Haque (12) and Mahmudullah (28) also failed to score big as Bangladesh were reduced to 109/4. A century stand between Shakib Al Hasan and Rahim steadied the ship for the visitors but the dismissal of Shakib and Sabbir Rahman in quick succession put the hosts right on top.

Rahim and Hasan then began the rescue work with a gritty batting display. The duo batted throughout the last session without any discomfort much to the frustration of the hosts. He was batting on 82 while Hasan was unbeaten on 51 when the day ended.
