PSG’s Thomas Meunier Dreams Of A Manchester United Move 1

Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier has revealed that he dreams of playing for Manchester United.

During an interview ahead of Tuesday night’s Champions League tie with Barcelona, the right-back told DH as quoted by Sport Witness, he loves the fans and the stadiums in the Premier League and that “one day” he would want to move to England.

Meunier said: “I’ve always said that one day, I would like to play in the Premier League. I’m very happy in Paris and if I finish my career there, it won’t be a disappointment, far from it. But, if one day, I had to leave Paris, why not?

“On the other side of the Channel, there are the stadiums, the fans, and I’ve never hidden that I’m a big fan of Manchester United, which remains, in my eyes, the real pinnacle in the world of football.”Image result for Thomas Meunier psg

Meunier, however, claimed he is a great admirer of Manchester United’s current right-back Antonio Valencia and has even ruled out any chances of him replacing Valencia any time soon.

“Ah, but you forgot about Antonio Valencia. He’s quite the player,” he added. “Plus, I’m pretty sure he’s just extended his contract by a year.”

31-year-old Valencia’s current contract runs until June 2018, but there’s no doubt Jose Mourinho has already started to look for alternative options with the former Wigan man approaching towards the end of his time at Old Trafford and Matteo Darmian looking likely to leave United in the summer.

The Belgian defender joined PSG only in the summer from Club Brugge for just over £5million and has so far made 23 appearances this season, scoring twice.
