Arguably the greatest footballer that game has ever seen, Lionel Messi, is now tying the knot.
The Argentine hitman is set to marry his long-term girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo in 2017 with the venue also settled.
The marriage is expected to be held in the Argentina international’s hometown of Rosario, where the pair first met when they were children through Messi’s close friend and Roccuzzo’s cousin Lucas Scaglia.
A relative of the Barcelona star revealed that there will be a wedding next year speaking to the Spanish media outfit La Capital.
‘It’s true, there’ll be a wedding the middle of next year,’ the relative told.

The 5 time Ballon d’Or winner is expected to tie the knot on his birthday, the 24th of June, next year and is expected to invite all his friends and teammates from Barcelona.
His international team mates and a few ex-players are also expected to be present for the wedding in a years time.
The cathedral in Rosario, Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, is the most likely venue, while the reception and party will be held at Messi’s family home.
The couple already has two children: Thiago, four, and Mateo, one, and have been dating since 2008 and are set to marry 9 years after they first met.
Roccuzzo is an Argentine model, who has been with Messi since his childhood and she moved to Barcelona to live with the star back in 2010.
The pair grew closer after Lionel helped her cope with the death of a close friend in Rosario just before she left for Spain.
And it is now understood that he might be getting married twice in under a year.

According to Catalan TV show Arucitys de la cadena 8TV, the couple will be having a second ceremony in Barcelona for those who can’t make it.
Messi is scheduled to be on a trip with the La Liga outfit on a pre-season tour and it is expected that he will be back just in time for the ceremony.
It will be a big step in the career of one of the best players of the sport and it will be interesting to see if the extra responsibility will effect Messi’s game on the field.
