1. Jonathan Wells
Although Jonathan Wells came after 5 wickets were down and the team was in a miserable condition. Only Alex Hales played good by scoring 29 runs. Jonathan Wells came to rescue after half of the innings was played. He managed to score 58 runs in the tough environment and raised his team total to 136 runs.
2. Shaun Tait
Today almost everyone bowled pretty well but Shaun Tait was the best. He picked up 3 wickets today and gave very few runs. In his 4 overs spell he 21 runs with an economy of 5.5.
3. Tim Ludeman
The wicketkeeper batsman Tim Ludeman played beautifully today. He opened the game. He played exceptionally well and scored a half century today. He scored 54 runs in just 33 balls with a strike rate of 163.6 and hit 4 fours and 4 sixes.
4. Jonathon Dean
Jonathon Dean was another player who played exceptionally well. He too scored a half century today. He scored 54 runs in 35 balls with a strike rate of 154.3. He was hitting sixes all the time. He hit 6 sixes and 1 boundary.
5. Darren Sammy
Darren Sammy was an exceptional bowler today. Although he was on the losing side but he was the best. He just gave away 10 runs in 3 overs and still managed to pick up a wicket. His economy was 3.3.
Flops of the Day
1. Ben Dunk
Ben Dunk was a flop today. He went out for a duck. He is the opening batsman. The top order didn’t work today and it was a miserable start for the Hobart Hurricanes.
2. Johan Botha
Johan Botha was very expensive today in the 1st innings. He gave the most runs with the highest economy. He gave away 33 runs in his 3 overs spell. His economy was of 11.
3. Ben Hilfenhaus
Ben Hilfenhaus was the most expensive bowler today. In just 1.3 overs he gave away 32 runs with an economy of 21.3, the highest in this league. And more over he didn’t pick any wickets.
