The world of football is spread far beyond the 90 yards of grass in between the two goals.
It is a past time for a few and passion for many as fans like me around the world, would not want a minute of their life spent away from football.
With the players playing just once or twice a week, there has to be something to keep the fans busy during the week and this is where online games come in handy.
The amount of technology that goes into these games is enormous, and it might have come to a stage where we might have to invent another name as they are not ‘games’ anymore.
So it does not come as a surprise that these games, which are so close to real life, are used to replicate situations that might not really happen in real life.
There are a few things that are not going to happen in a million years so it is always entertaining to find out what will happen if it does.
One such question was answered today after a YouTube gamer named DailyTradingTips, decided to make the biggest transfer of the season happen digitally.
Two of the biggest rivals in the sport, Real Madrid and Barcelona, have not swapped any players for more than a decade now but what if they decide to do so?
And what if it was Lionel Messi for Cristiano Ronaldo?
Both players, who will be among the best ever to play the game in its history, are proud of their respective clubs at the moment and it is hard to see either player switching their alliance anytime soon.
But that is just the real life.
In EA Sports’ FIFA17, the user can make this happen, with some struggle and this YouTuber got this transfer done.

He first sent the Catalan giants a letter asking to sell Lionel Messi to Real Madrid, just to see if they are interested. This is where it all started.
Barcelona wrote back, (all in the game), asking for a transfer fee of £21m and Cristiano Ronal as a part deal for the Argentine star.
Once that was agreed upon, in stepped Messi asking for a much higher pay at the Bernabeu.
The YouTuber then offers an astronomical £1,000,000 a week wage along with Ronaldo, and this was an offer Barcelona could not refuse.
He gets a letter not too long ago that the players have swapped the clubs.
It obviously is not happening in real life anytime soon so maybe this will remain the biggest transfer in the history of the game forever.
