Jose Mourinho’s debut at the Old Trafford is not too far away from glory as his Manchester United side are in the final of the League Cup and are also into the round of 16 of the Europa League.
They are currently 6th in the points table, not too far away from a place in the top-4 and the manager will be happy with the way his team has performed in recent times.
Mourinho has already been looking at players for the next season and has been linked with some of the best players in Europe. But he is also keeping an eye out for young talent that can help the club in the future.
He has already looked at a number of future prospects and is now close to getting their hands on young Alex Timossi Andersson.
The 16-year old Swedish national has already had a trial at Bayern Munich in the past and is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in the country.
He has made his way into the national set-up and is an integral part of the Swedish youth setup.
And it is now understood that Manchester United have given him a trial before making him a part of their squad at the Old Trafford.
He is currently plying his trade at the Helsingborgs, a second tier club in his country and completed 90 minutes for the first time this season recently in the Swedish Cup.
Manchester United have reportedly been looking at him for some time now and have finally been able to get him to Manchester after getting permission for him to miss school.
Head coach Per-Ola Ljung said: ‘We can confirm that he is going to Manchester.
‘United have for some time wanted to meet Timossi Andersson, but it was important to not let it come between school. ‘We thought it was appropriate to do it now so he does not miss anything in school,’ he added.
He is already sponsored by sportswear giants Nike and is identified as a potential superstar for the future.
And Jose Mourinho is determined that he can be the next big thing for Manchester United.
The Portuguese manager will be looking to let a few players leave in the summer and will be ready to spend big but it is always important to keep the academy going strong and Andersson will surely help him in this cause.
He is an exciting youngster with the whole world at his feet and has all the making of turning into a top class player for the Red Devils.
