Shoaib Malik Urges Foreign Players To Play PSL Final In Lahore 1

Pakistan and Karachi Kings batsman Shoaib Malik is trying to convince his side’s foreign players to play the PSL final in Lahore, after the city was startled by a bomb blast the past day, which killed nearly 10 people and injured 30.

The city of Lahore, which was largely discussed for being swapped by Dubai’s ground to host the final, has come under scanner again and a final decision is yet to be taken.

Malik, 35, has asked his team-mates to feel secured about their presence in the country and cited some personal examples to make them comfortable. He said, ‘I don’t take security at home. I have informed the players here that my wife is an Indian national and even she doesn’t take security whenever she visits Pakistan.’

Taking in consideration the gradual improvement of PSL over the past two years, Malik said the tournament is next to Big Bash League (BBL) and that it has got better with each passing day.

“Though I don’t think it’s fair to compare leagues, I think going by the standard of cricket after Big Bash, PSL takes the stand. And by God’s grace it’s getting better day by day.”

After six matches in second season of PSL, Karachi Kings are sitting at the bottom with two wins and four losses.
