Is Sami Zayn Ready For A Title Push? 1

Sami Zayn has been on the main roster of the WWE for a year now and in this long span, he is yet to win a championship. How far this is fair to some technically gifted athlete like Sami? Doesn’t he deserve a title reign? When would WWE consider him as a champion?

The concept that Sami Zayn is not ready yet for a championship push is blatantly wrong. He was a former NXT champion and won the title before the current Universal champion Kevin Owens.

Sami had a successful run as the NXT champion and he also turned out to be the NXT superstar of the year 2014. How come he is not ready for a main roster title push?

We at Sportzwiki think it is the not the time to make him the world champion. Let us explain why; nowadays we see most of the wrestlers are winning the world championships too early considering their main roster debut. But if you look back in the 90s, things were different then, Wrestlers had to start their career with the Intercontinental championship. Most of the big names back in those days started their career winning the IC title, such as Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and all of them later won the world title and they not only successful reigns, they are the best in the business.

So, we think WWE should do something with Sami Zayn too. We are not saying that Sami is not ready for World championship run, indeed he is ready. But starting his championship career with the United States championship or the Intercontinental championship would not only look better for the Sami it would also look good for the particular title too.

WWE need to build Sami as the top mid card wrestler first, then taking him to the main events would be best for both him and for the company too.

We see Roman Reigns holding the US title for absolutely no reason. A former world champion and a Royal Rumble match winner winning the US title and not having a proper feud for it looks really bad, even Jericho, who is currently the US champion is not having any feud for the title. This does not look good for the mid card title status. They need to push to top guy who never won the world title as the mid card champion, and undoubtedly Sami is the best option for that.
