PSL Final To Be Held In Lahore After Green Signal From Chief Mininster 1

It has been finalised that the final of the second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played in Lahore after the Chef Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has been given a green signal to host the game.

Since August last year, PCB is vying to host the final of the league in Lahore but time and again their quest to host the game received regular jitters due to various attacks in the country. Lahore was again jolted with two bombs blasts recently which once again raised doubts whether Lahore will host the final or not? But now it has been confirmed that Lahore will host the final as CM of the state has shown green signal to host the game.

Najam Sethi, the PSL Chairman has already confirmed that all the five franchises have agreed to play the final in Lahore,

“Everything will be clear once the playoff ends and the two finalists are decided. I can’t give you the names (of foreign players), but I am sure there will be foreign players for the March 5 final.

“It’s time the nation should show the world that we are a peace-loving nation, we are not going to be blackmailed by the terrorists. After the success of this event, international cricket will also return to Pakistan. We have to work hard for the next six days to make it a success, he said.

Still, it has not been confirmed whether foreign players will tour to the country or not. The two teams who will play the finals are yet to be finalised and it will be after that only when Sethi will travel to Dubai to have a talk with the players and the franchise of the two finalists,

“I will be going back to Dubai now and once the finalists are confirmed I will again talk to the franchise owners and foreign players. We have also prepared a back up list of foreign players in case the overseas signings of the finalist teams refuse to come to Lahore.”

The final of the PSL is to be played on March 5.
