Indian bowlers continued their inconsistent run of form as the mighty Australians piled up a total of 348 for the loss of 2 wickets on day one of the fourth Test at Sydney.
Resuming at 242/2 at tea, skipper Smith and Shane Watson added to India’s misery as the duo put on 106 runs in the final session to set the tone for a huge first innings score. Both Watson and Smith brought up their half-centuries and remained unbeaten on 61 and 82 respectively. Indian bowlers were not able to pick up wickets in this session and infact no bowler looked threatening to pick up a wicket.
