India have declared their team for the Tri series which is knocking at the door against host Australia and England. On Tuesday the selectors met in Mumbai to choose the fifteen-man squad for the International Cricket Council World Cup and the seventeen-man team for the Tri-series which is starting from 16th January, 2015.

Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who recently retired from Test cricket, will continue to lead the team in both the tournaments with Virat Kohli has been recruited as the vice-captain. The likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Mohammed Shami, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were picked in both the teams. Only Mohit Sharma and Dhawal Kulkarni have been added as back up bowlers for the tri-series.

MS Dhoni (C&WK), Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Ambati Rayudu (WK), Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Akshar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Stuart Binny, Umesh Yadav, Mohit Sharma, Dhawal Kulkarni.
