Let’s Keep The Momentum Going In The Coming Games, Says Anil Kumble After India's Remarkable Win In Bengaluru 1
India vs Australia - Day 4 (2nd Test)

India’s stunning 75-run victory against Australia at Bengaluru is probably their finest win since Anil Kumble took charge of the team in June last year.  The Indian team was under immense pressure after their 19-match unbeaten run came to an end following a humiliating 333-run defeat in the series-opener at Pune.

The world number one team was looking destined for further humiliation when they were bowled out for a paltry 189 in the first innings of the second Test. In the second innings too, the home team was in a huge spot of bother when the Australian pacers -Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood- wreaked havoc with the second new ball and combined for 5 wickets in the space of only 18 balls to bowl out India for 274.

However, the world number one team bounced back in style and defended a modest target of 188 by dismissing the visitors for a paltry 112 runs to level the series.

With this win India have got back to winning ways and will be hoping to build on the momentum. Well, India coach Anil Kumble is also hoping for a similar response from his team in the coming games.

The former India spinner took to Twitter to congratulate his team on the ‘stellar comeback’. Posting a couple of pictures of the winning moment, he tweeted:“Winning moments of a stellar comeback! Let’s keep the momentum going in the coming games.”
