Indian player Ravichandran Ashwin‘s quality performance with bat and ball in the Sydney Test at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) against Australia has made him the 9th Indian cricketer to get 1,000 runs and minimum 100 wickets in Test cricket. Ravichandran Ashwin scored a classy half-ton and helped India to touch 450 run landmark on Friday. He performed with the ball too and took 4 wickets. This is only the 24th Test of his cricketing career.
Ravichandran Ashwin is the 3rd quickest cricketer in the world to get the feat. Only England Ian Botham and Vinoo Mankad are in front of him. Ian Botham took 21 Tests whereas Mankad reached that landmark in 23 Tests.
