The Indian selectors, on Friday, named the squad for the upcoming Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Emerging Players Tournament – based on U-23 age group – that’ll be held from March 15 to 26 at Dhaka. Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will feature their top U-23 players, while other participants in the form of UAE, Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Nepal will feature their full strength teams. In this tournament, the teams are allowed up to four national players.

India, however, have opted to test their bench strength by giving the fringe players an opportunity in the tournament. Tamil Nadu batsman and 2012 U-19 Word Cup winner Baba Aparajith has been named the captain of the team with Ankush Bains being his deputy. Other noticeable inclusions are that of all-rounder Mayank Dagar and teenage batting sensation Prithvi Shaw.
