West Indies Cricket Team on January 11th, 2015 recorded the highest ever run-chase in the history of T20 Cricket in a match against South Africa at Johannesberg. Lead by Chris Gayle’s 90 off 41 balls, a quick-fire half-century from Marlon Samuels and a short blitzkrieg from skipper Darren Sammy, West Indies chased down the target of 232 successfully with 4 balls to spare.
Earlier, lead by Faf du Plessis’s second fastest hundred in T20 Cricket, South Africa propelled to 231 in their 20 overs and would have thought that their chances of squaring the series would be strong. But, West Indies batsmen played extremely well that even the South Africa bowling attack lead by Kyle Abbott didn’t have any answer to them.
