The social media has become an online platform for discussion on cricket. Every move of a player is discussed on this platform. But a large number of cricket greats played the game even before the innovation of internet. But a country like India where cricket is a religion and cricketers are followed like Gods, cricketer like Sachin Tendulkar ,who played the best part of his career before the innovation of social media, caught the imagination of the boys who were born in 1990. The 1990’s born cricket fans dominate social media so the God of cricket has become the most followed player on social media.

Here are 10 players who are the most followed team on social media.

Sachin Tendulkar: Twitter 11 million Facebook 27.10 million

The legendary Indian batsman is the most loved and followed cricketer in the World. His 25 years stay in international cricket made him the best cricketer of the 21st century.

Tendulkar started his career at a time when social media was not invented, so the better part of his career had gone in the era of newspaper and Television media.  

Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli Twitter 10.9 million, Facebook 28.9 million

The Indian top order batsman is now the most talented cricketer in the world. His batsman ship and ability to score runs prolifically made him the most loved cricketer on facebook and twitter. Virat is also known for his chasing that too helped to capture imagination of people. Virender Sehwag: Virender Sehwag 5.88 million Facebook 12.3 million

The former World Cup winning Indian opener is known for his stroke making. His onslaught on bowlers around the world made fans go berserk. Indian loved him along with Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly. The leg-spin wizard always makes news on and off the field. He is the first spinner who made leg spin a fashionable profession. Warne was a champion in all formats of the game.
