With the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hell bent on not lifting the life-ban it imposed on S Sreesanth in 2013 due to fixing charges, the former India bowler’s playing career is in limbo and the uncertainty seems to have prompted him to try his luck in another field. Known for his dancing skills, the discarded bowler will now be seen in the upcoming Bollywood film Aksar 2.
Last month, his debut Malayalam movie Team 5 had hit the theatres and the maverick bowler is now trying his hand in Bollywood. Earlier this month, he had expressed his delight at being a part of the Bollywood flick and had thanked his well-wishers for supporting him during the tough times.
“Thankful to God for all the good things in life. I am so glad to be part of Aksar 2 and I’m very confident it will be appreciated by the audience. A big thank you to all those who supported me during the worst phase of my cricketing career as well as now since the ban against me playing the game again has been lifted, I believe there are many opportunities in store. Need all the love, support and encouragement always,” he had said.
Here is a trailer of the movie where Sreesanth can be seen:
Earlier this month, Sreesanth heaved a huge sigh of relief after the Kerala High Court ordered the BCCI to lift the life ban it imposed on the bowler. However, the BCCI has not lifted its ban since the decision was independent to any criminal proceeding and was based on its independent disciplinary action. The board is now all set to challenge the court’s verdict.
