Veteran Indian commentator and cricket analyst, Aakash Chopra, has named the best bowling unit of contemporary times in Test cricket. Chopra has been busy throughout the COVID-19 pandemic as he has been a regular voice during the crisis on social media and has talked about a lot of things related to cricket.
This time, Aakash jumped into the debate of the best pace battery in Test cricket and named his favourite side. Although, Australia and India have been the two teams that have dominated pace bowling in Test cricket in the last 3-4 years. This is one of the major reasons behind their success in the longest format of the game.
Now, Aakash Chopra has given his views on the ongoing debate and said that Australia are marginally ahead of India in modern-day cricket.

In his latest Youtube video on his official channel, Aakash Chopra lauded the variety Australia possesses in its pace attack.
“They have Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc which can rip apart any bowling line-up. Moreover, James Pattinson also made a comeback in the Ashes and was equally effective,” Aakash Chopra said.

“The likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma have been exceptional, to say the least, for team India bundling out the opposition teams regularly. Even Umesh Yadav turns beast at home and has been impressive overseas as well,” Chopra said.
“Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been one of the top fast bowlers in the country. Unfortunately, his career has been plagued with injuries in the last few months and has led him to not playing Tests at all. But as of now, India seems to be in good hands as far as the pace attack is concerned,” he added.
