Aditya Tare is all set to lead the Mumbai side in the Ranji Trophy from this season.
Batsman Aditya Tare will lead Mumbai team in the upcoming season of Ranji Trophy while the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Harmeet Singh and Dhawal Kulkarni have also retained their places for this season.
Left-arm spinner Vishal Dabholkar has been recalled by the Mumbai selectors after he was dropped from the team last season due to bad form.
Mumbai Cricket Association announced their squad on Sunday. Dabholkar has also earned a place after his match-winning performance of 6 for 46 that guided MCA Colts to beat TNCA Districts XI by six wickets in the off-season Buchi Babu All India Invitation Cricket Tournament final in Chennai last month.
Dabholkar’s place in the team is confirmed for the first two games, that are against Andhra Pradesh and Punjab scheduled from October 1 to 4 and October 8 to 11 respectively.
Abhishek Raut found himself in the team too, following his impressive show in practice games in Hyderabad recently. “He is a good batsman and leg-spinner. He is also a good fielder. He did well in the practice games in Hyderabad,” said a Mumbai cricket official to DNA.
