Arjun Tenduar, son of the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, often promulgated as the god of cricket, smashed a century at an under-19 cricket tournament in Mumbai, playing for Sunil Gavaskar XI against Rohit Sharma XI on Tuesday. The cricketing world applauded the fine innings played by the master blaster’s son as his batting style resembled the swashbuckling southpaw Yuvraj Singh.

Arjun scored 106 in his team’s total of 218 in a tournament that also featured Sachin Tendulkar XI and Dilip Vengsarkar XI, where the 16 year old impressed everybody with his batting provenance.

The knock came at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana grounds, thus being a unique occasion where a son scored a ton at a ground named after his father.

The 16 year old Arjun, who has a lot being expected of him as his perpetuated living in the shadow of his legendary father, has already exuded signs of greatness as a video of him bowling seam up left arm to English batsmen during the ashes went viral and also impressed swing maestro Wasim Akram who gave some bowling tips to the young man.

He also made the headlines scoring a smashing 118 out o 42 balls at a school cricket match tournament recently as well.

Sachin, who had made his cricket debut at age of 11, been a ball boy at 14 and played Ranji trophy since 15,made his team India debut  at 16.Like father like son.
