Meanwhile, Glenn McGrath had dismissed former England captain Michael Atherton on seven occasions in the 1997 series. Furthermore, Nathan Lyon had the wood on Moeen Ali as he dismissed him seven times in the previous Ashes series.

Warner could only manage 95 runs in the 10 innings of the series as he had a forgettable Ashes. On the other hand, Stuart Broad has been the pick of the England bowlers as he scalped three wickets thus far. The experienced fast bowler has taken 22 wickets in the series. The lanky pacer has bowled with great responsibility in the absence of his teammate James Anderson.
Meanwhile, Stuart Broad was able to get the big fish Steven Smith for 23 runs. Smith had a scintillating series as he scored 774 runs in the seven innings. In fact, this was the only time when the talisman was dismissed before 50 runs in the series. Smith made a roaring comeback into the red ball version after spending a year away from the game due to his ball-tampering ban.

On the other hand, England came up with a perfect plan to get rid of Steven Smith. Joe Root had a leg-slip in Ben Stokes and Smith made the mistake of hitting towards England’s best fielder who dived to his left to take a good low catch.
