Australia have announced their 13 man squad for the third test against India at Melbourne. Injured all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is out of the team while Queensland batsman Joe Burns gets a call-up to the Test side. Rest of the team remains the same as coach Darren Lehmann expects David Warner (wrist) and Ryan Harris (quad) to be fit ahead of the Boxing Day test which is just five days away.
“That’s the only change. Mitch Marsh will travel with the team to get prepared for the Sydney Test. Whether it’s a batter, bowler or all-rounder, we need to make sure players are 100 percent,” coach Darren Lehmann said.
Skipper Steve Smith also quoted “I haven’t spoken to Davey yet but he’s a tough little character so I’m sure he will be eager to get stuck in on Boxing D ay. Mitch Marsh was struggling a bit with his running today, so the physio will have a look at him over the next couple of days and make a decision.”

It is likely that Joe Burns will make his Test debut at the MCG while Ryan Harriswill play instead of Mitchell Starc. Underperforming Shane Watson is still named in the 13 member squad led by Steve Smith.
