Australia have announced their squad for the ICC cricket World Cup 2015. All the teams had to announce their squad on or before 15th January, the Aussies had already selected their squad and had given the list to the ICC, but Cricket Australia had requested that the squad shall not be announced before the end of the Sydney Test.
Michael Clarke who was injured and was out of the Test series has been named as the captain of the side for the World cup. The impressive off spinner Nathan Lyon, doesn’t make it into the ODI squad, Xavier Doherty is the lone spinner. The four time World Cup champions will be looking to win this world cup for various reasons. The squad is full of All-Rounders which gives the squad a lot more flexibility. The squad includes Shane Watson, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, James Faulkner, and Mitchell Johnson.
