The last few months have gone pretty well for Khaleel Ahmed. From nowhere in the scheme of the things to be the trustworthy player for a skipper, Khaleel Ahmed has grown a lot in the last couple of series.
However, the upcoming series will test the real mettle in him. Meanwhile, the youngster is confident about the series and made his voice out on Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni.

Khaleel Ahmed quoted he is pretty confident of delivering the goods in Australia and hopeful of lifting the trophy for the fourth time. Further, he expressed he is pretty lucky to play under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in a very short stint.
“I am sure we will kick off the Australia series with a win. I am ready to lift the coveted trophy for the fourth time. I can’t describe it, but the feeling is amazing when you deliver for your team and then hold the victorious trophy,” Khaleel said.

“I am lucky (laughs). Virat and Rohit are great players. Dhoni Bhai is a legend. They have one similarity, that they give a lo oft freedom to youngsters. They guide us and give us a free hand on the field. Dhoni Bhai’s guidance from behind the stumps has been of great help. They are all always there when I need any help,” the youngster said to Times of India.

On World Cup dream:
Speaking of it, Khaleel Ahmed quoted playing the 2019 World Cup will be the most significant achievement for any cricketer. Likewise, he also wants to participate in the grand event but doesn’t want to talk anything more on it now.
“It is every player’s dream to play in a World Cup. It feels great when you represent your country on the big stage and in front of thousands of people in the stadium. I don’t want to think about it now. The decision will be taken by the selectors and my captain. I just want to concentrate on my current performance,” Khaleel signed off.
