Shashi / 20 March 2015

The Pakistani skipper, Misbah–ul-Haq has said on Friday that India have have the advantage over Australian in their semi-final clash at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on the 26th March.

Lately, Australia managed to beat Pakistan quite comprehensively by a margin of 6 wickets in the quarter-final clash at the Adelaide.

Misbah also said that the pitch at Sydney will be favoring the spinners and countering the Indian spinners on the strip there can prove to be really difficult for the Australian batsmen.

The Pakistani skipper, who played his last game for Pakistan today also said that Australia would definitely miss a genuine spinner at Sydney. And he further stated that such a difference could result in deciding the fate of the game in favor of India.

Misbah further added that he has seen the pitch at Sydney quite closely and it is surely a one that would be friendly for the spinners with plenty of turn and bounce.

He also mentioned of the fact that spinners have got real success in the pitch at Sydney giving the example of South African spinner, Imran Tahir who bowled brilliantly against Sri Lanka the other day.

He added that the Australian batsmen like to play against pace bowling and playing against spin is out of their comfort zone. At the moment, Indian spinners, with the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, have been managing things decently well for India.

When Misbah was asked for a prediction of the match, he said that the match is going to be a tough match for sure.

India is still unbeaten in the tournament and Australia has lost just a single game against New Zealand. We await for a nail biting encounter on the 26th March at the SCG.
